The La Honda-Pescadero Big Lift programs have built strong partnerships with San Mateo County Library programs, Bay Area Discovery Museum, CuriOdyssey, TomKat Ranch, and Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks among other great community agencies. Teachers report benefiting from the additional curriculum support and students love the access to STEAM activities and inspiring field trips!

The Big Lift initiative is led by San Mateo County, San Mateo County Libraries, and San Mateo County Office of Education with the aim of increasing third grade reading proficiency in San Mateo County through evidenced-based strategies and collaboration with community stakeholders.
